I was given a Samsung Tantus model # hln567wx/xaa . First turned on picture was fine as well as sound. The defining factor for the TV being given to me was the "banshee" sound it emitted. Well with a little investigation I discovered the color wheel problem. I ordered a color wheel and with the guide from this link How To Replace the Color Wheel in Your Samsung . I replaced it with no troubles. I documented every unplugged connection with a snap shot of each step. All went well. So I thought. After putting everything back together I turned the set on. It fired up I heard the fans, color wheel and even saw the light come on with the distinctive Samsung Chime . Then after about 30 seconds it shuts off and begins blinking the lamp "green" and the temp "red" lights . I pulled the lamp again and reseated it as suggested on other post across the web. No luck . I let it set over night and tried again. No luck. I also read that there is a switch for the light when you reseat it might not trigger it. I have yet to see this switch. My question is are the blinking lights a code ? If so whats the code saying. and is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance for your time.
Ok I found the problem. The cover switch located on the lamp panel was not triggering correctly .I tried and tried to adjust it so that the lamp panel triggered it with no luck. So with the help of a rubber band I just bypassed this step all together now all works like a charm.
