Which is better, the XBOX 360 or the PS3??

I have been debating this for a while, and I've seen mixed reviews. Some say that the graphics and potential for the PS3 is much greater than the XBOX, but right now, the XBOX might be the superior gaming machine. What are the thoughts out there?
