Get a Replacement DLP Lamp for your Toshiba TV
Don't get caught without a spare DLP lamp. If you have more than a few thousand hours on it, it could go at any time.
How do you know if you need a new lamp?
* The display becomes dim, or
* The lamp indicator light blinks, or
* You hear a loud pop when turning on or viewing the television indicating that the lamp has burst.
How to replace the DLP lamp
Steps to replace this lamp are quite simple and take only a few moments.
1. Turn off and unplug the Television.
2. WARNING: Allow the lamp to cool for at least an hour before replacing it.
3. Locate the lamp door on the side of the television. This is usually on the left side when facing the front of the TV.
4. Loosen the screw by hand or by using an allen wrench and open the door.
5. Using a philips screwdriver, loosen the two lamp screws on the bottom left and right of the lamp unit. The screws may not come off entirely.
6. Gently pull on the handle and the lamp unit should slide straight out of the television. As you do so, note the location and position of the lamp so you know how the replacement should slide in.
7. Insert the new unit straight into the television until it seats snugly. Never force it. There is a plug that must line up perfectly, so you may need to wriggle it slightly until it slides in.
8. Reattach the lamp unit door, inserting the hooks on the left side of the door.
9. Insert the door screw and tighten by hand.
