I had my 43" Samsung DLP-TV for three years (original cost = $3,000), and I began to have diagonal lines appear accross the screen on ALL cable stations (but Not with a DVD feed). I had the cable company test the cable signal, and everything was OK. I called Samsung, but got no answers (same for their website). Then a called a local tech guy, and he KNEW INSTANTLY what the problem was (since he saw this many times before). He installed both Digital and Analog turner boards, and now the TV has a great picture again.

The downside = the turner boards alone cost me $800!!!! and, another $150 for the labor.

Bottome line: Use caution if you decide to buy a DLP!!!!
