How to replace the lamp in your Toshiba HM and HMX Television
It seems that many owners of the Toshiba HMX Television have experienced short lamp life, less than 2000 hours. The manufacturer indicates that you can expect 6000-8000 hours of usage depending on whether you use the TV in low power mode or not.
When the lamp needs to be replaced, the television will blink it's red and green LED lights at 1 second intervals. First, turn off the television and turn it back on again. If the problem persists, you need to replace your lamp.

Lamp Replacement
Replacing the lamp is very routine.
First, if you have been operating the television, let it cool off for an hour. These lamps run very hot.
Locate the lamp panel on the side of the television, the left side if you're looking at the TV.
Remove the panelThe lamp itself is held in with two screws. Remove those screws and pull on the handle.
Reverse the process with your new lamp.
